Thomas Tuchel happy with current state of Chelsea’s business.

The Blues have signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling in this summer window and has been linked with a few other players.

They have been heavily linked with Leicester defender Wesley Fofana who could become the most expensive defender in the world if his £85million valuation is met.

Yesterday, they signed Marc Cucurella on a five-year contract from Brighton.

Thomas Tuchel admits he’s happy with the signings who are already through the door.

“No, I’m not happy, I’m super happy,” he told Soccer AM ahead of Everton. “These two guys [Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly] are fantastic guys and fantastic football players and are exactly what we need.

“So, this is brilliant to have Kalidou here in the defence and Raheem in the offence is top top signings.”

The manager also confirmed that Alonso is set to leave Stamford Bridge for Barcelona this week.

“That is the case. He tries to leave and we agreed to this wish. That’s why it would not have made sense to put him on the pitch today. He would’ve been on the pitch otherwise but in this situation, it was the right thing to do.”
