Thomas Tuchel hints Ben Chillwell reurn plans.

The England defender damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in the Champions League against Juventus back in November and has been sidelined since then.

He was in superb form before he got injured and had the surgery back in December.

He missed the majority of the season and was not expected to be back in training until the new season.

But the defender has been pictured carrying out individual skills at Cobham training ground.

Bu Tuchel clarified that Chilwell could soon resume group training but won’t be available in the first team.

“I don’t think so,” Tuchel replied when asked about Chilwell’s return.

“Ben will now go into the transition period where he can join in with the academy team for training on a tactical level over the next few weeks. We will give him time and won’t try to rush Chilly.”

“This will be his next steps and hopefully he can join in with first-team training before the end of the season, but there will be no matches at this kind of level for him.”
