Chelsea’s top scorer was not included in Saturday’s FA Cup squad.

The 23-year old has resumed full training after recovering from his ankle injury and has not featured since the Southampton draw back in February.

He is struggling to break into the first-team squad although he is Chelsea’s top scorer this season with 12 goals in 30 appearances.

He has been struggling with an ankle injury since Tuchel’s arrival and missed the bulk of the 16 games Tuchel was in charge of.

Thomas Tuchel has plenty of competition for the forward places in his team.

The Chelsea academy graduate might find his way out of Stamford Bridge in the summer.

‘There isn’t much on Tammy but he’s lost a little bit of confidence recently and we’ve taken the hard decision to leave him out,’ said Tuchel explaining Abraham’s absence from the FA Cup squad.

‘It was a tough decision but we decided to go with Timo, and with Kai and Oli Giroud from the bench.’
