Thomas Tuchel blocks forward from leaving Chelsea

Timo Werner has been linked with a move to Juventus.

The German international has just started 15 Premier League games last season.

He has struggled to make an impact since his summer move in 2020 scoring 23 goals in 89 appearances for the Blues.

Werner is keen to get more minutes at club level ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

He is deeply concerned about his lack of playing time and his former club RB Leipzig reportedly interested in re-signing him.

But Thomas Tuchel has blocked any move for the 26-year-old as he wishes him to be in the squad for the upcoming campaign.

‘I could be happy everywhere,’ Werner said earlier this month.

‘It is clear I want to play more and I should play more to first be in good shape for the World Cup and also to have a chance to play at the World Cup.

‘It doesn’t change anything whether it is a winter World Cup or in the summer. I think if I play half of the season or the whole season, I should play. It doesn’t change anything in my mind.’
