He made his senior debut last season, appearing in Conference League victories against Copenhagen and Djurgardens.
His impressive development was further highlighted during the pre-season, where he provided an assist in a friendly win against Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite speculation linking him with a summer move to sister club Strasbourg, a transfer did not materialize, allowing Antwi to continue his progression at Stamford Bridge.
He has maintained his strong form this season, most recently scoring the opening goal for Chelsea’s U21 side in their UEFA Youth League triumph over Bayern Munich.
Manager Enzo Maresca has previously praised Antwi’s attitude and development, stating he deserved the chances he received.
Having joined Chelsea’s Cobham academy as an Under-12 player, Antwi has steadily risen through the ranks and signed his first professional contract just last year.
A regular for Sweden’s youth national teams, though he has also represented England at the U16 level, Antwi now aims to increase his involvement with the senior squad.
With the right-back position being a key area, he will hope to provide valuable cover for established stars Reece James and Malo Gusto this season.
