Chelsea decided against allowing winger Noni Madueke to leave club on loan in January

Stephen Warnock, a Sky Sports analyst and former Liverpool player, called Noni Madueke a “nightmare” for defenders. Madueke has scored four Premier League goals in Chelsea’s first seven games this season, including a hat-trick in the team’s 6-2 victory over Wolves. Madueke has had an outstanding start to the Chelsea campaign. Due to his good play, the 22-year-old was called up to the England team. Last month, he made his Wembley debut against Finland, helping Harry Kane to a 2-0 victory.

It took the winger a little while to settle in at Chelsea after joining in January 2023 during a particularly hectic transfer window. Before putting on a string of strong performances at the end of the season and scoring some vital goals to help Chelsea finish in the top six, Madueke struggled under Mauricio Pochettino’s team the previous year.

Chelsea has a ’breathtaking’ player alongside Cole Palmer

“He is a fullback’s worst nightmare because he can go both ways,” Warnock remarked. “I believe that there are moments in his game where, in terms of how he defeats opponents, he is astounding. Then this is the one where it gets really tough for a defender (to deal with). when he is sprinting and immediately approaching you. He can use his left foot to come inside, but he dribbles his shot there.

“What is good about him is his hunger for goals; he is willing to go both ways and get off to a happy start.” Occasionally unpredictable when landing on that left foot. Although he can be annoying at times, this is his genius (goal against Forest), and he is a game-changer.
