Seaman's take on Kepa incident

The Kepa Arrizabalaga incident on Sunday night in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City has had the whole world talking.

Fans and pundits from across the world have rained in with their personal opinions and most feel that Arrizabalaga was out of line. Chelsea have done their bit as a club and have handled the matter rather well.

The club have fined the young goalie and have left the decision to bench Kepa for tonight’s high profile match against Tottenham Hotspur to Maurizio Sarri. Kepa’s selection tonight could show Sarri’s weakness but as Chelsea cannot afford to drop anymore points and they are going up against a strong Spurs side.

While most pundits like Paul Merson believe that Kepa should be taught a lesson and sidelined, former England goalkeeper David Seaman seems to be a man who believes in second chances.

He wants the manager to be smart rather than hold down fort in this particular instance.

‘If Chelsea aren’t going for the top four it’s an easy decision but they are, so they’ve got to play their best team,’ Seaman said. ‘It may show a bit of a weakness in Sarri but Kepa should play.’
