Latest odds Sarri to sacked and next permanent Chelsea manager
The job of a manager is an uncertain one. And perhaps, the cruelest of them all is taking over the hot seat at Stamford Bridge. Ask the last 12 managers who came and went from Chelsea in the last 10 years.
However, for odd makers this has provided substantial betting agendas as the musical chair game for the managerial spot in the Chelsea office is an ever running game.
Sarri was brought in last July and there are already huge odds in place for the Italian to get the sack. The former Napoli boss has not done himself any favours by losing five of his last 11 matches.
He is now primed to get the sack having lost the support of the fans as well. He has on him odds placed at 1.36 to be the next manager in the Premier League to get sacked.
With Sarri believed to be living on borrowed time, it has also thrown into the window a chance for other managers to come in at Chelsea; although the coaches should be cautious of the intolerant nature of the Blues’ board.
With certain managers like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte having already taken the job, few out of work managers have been primed to take over now.
One of them is certainly former Real Madrid hotshot Zinedine Zidane. The electrifying French midfielder achieved historical success as boss at one of the biggest clubs in the world before choosing to leave. He is currently on vacation but has been placed at prime odds of 3.00Â to take over from Sarri.
Other in-work bosses who could potentially be looking to step in involve Chelsea legend and Derby boss Frank Lampard with odds of 5.00Â and Gianfranco Zola, the current Chelsea assistant coach who has odds of 7.00.
Do not rule out former PSG boss Laurent Blanc as well as he has been linked in the past with the Chelsea job and currently has odds of 13.00. Another prime candidate for this post could be treble winners with Barcelona Luis Enrique and he commands odds of 21.00 for the Chelsea job now.
