Rudiger eyeing top 4 for Chelsea

Chelsea were reduced to a 2-2 draw by an impressive Leicester City last night.

The Blues defender had a great match personally as he scored two goals from two set-pieces. Both were impressive headers and after going 13 months without a goal, Rudiger found the back of the net twice in 20 minutes.

However, despite such a happy outing for him personally, Leicester were overall equal if not better than Chelsea and the match ended 2-2. Chelsea currently hold a 5 point lead in the 4th spot which can go down to 4 if Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham can beat Manchester City tonight.

With the final months now in business, Chelsea will need to step up their game and Rudiger believes they can make top 4.

“At the end of the day it’s good to take a point away from here because they were pushing and after the 1-0 we were a bit sloppy,” Rudiger told BT Sport.

“I’m happy for the team but most important is the spirit we showed after the 2-1 and we came back.

“We only have to look game by game. The upcoming month of February will be very tough.

”But we will be up for the fight, that’s for sure.”
