Sky Sports pundits were asked to explain where they think the top six teams in England would end this season. There were three pundits, Charlie Nicholas, Le Tissier and Phil Thompson.
However, none of them put Chelsea in the top four.
“In third place, I am going to go with Spurs. I think they have had a little bit of a blip. The fact they are out of the title race could take a little bit of pressure off them,” Le Tissier told Sky Sports. “They got beaten by Southampton but they should have been out of sight by half-time. As long as they don’t let it affect their confidence, they should be able to stick in third”, he added. And Thompson agreed with him.
Nicholas, however, has Arsenal in third and Spurs to finish in fifth. “Arsenal have the best run-in so I am going to go with Arsenal in third. Tottenham are in free-fall at the moment and have to go to Liverpool and Man City,” Nicholas added.
It seems with all odds turned down by pundits, the Blues will have to focus on winning the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League.
