Mason Mount is linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave the West London club as his new contract with Chelsea have come to a standstill in recent weeks.

His former has dropped in the recent campaign but he has been a crucial player for the Blues over the past four seasons.

He has little over 12 months left on his Blues contract and Chelsea is demanding around £70 million for the midfielder’s services.

Pundit Danny Murphy cannot believe why Chelsea are considering selling the 24-year-old England international.

He said: “You are talking about a terrific player, I am a big fan of Mason Mount. The criticism this season has been fine because he has had a poor time, as has the team. But he has been at a huge club for four seasons and three of them he has been excellent.

“The fact is he is going to have a choice, because nearly all the big clubs are in for him. They are in for him because they can see what a talent he is. From a football perspective I think he gets in Liverpool’s team and Man United’s team.”
