Chelsea signed Christian Pulisic back in the winter transfer window of the 2018-19 season. The American who was signed from Germany’s Bundesliga club Borrusia Dortmund was immediately sent back on loan for the rest of the season, as per his contractual agreement.
Now that the season is over, the players who play for the national team, have left for their international duties and competitions. Pulisic has also left for the USA men’s national team where he will want to help the Americans win the Gold Cup.
However, for Chelsea this could spell trouble as their pre-season begins only a week after the Gold Cup ends. Chelsea are then scheduled to take their trip to the far east to Japan for their pre-season.
Should Pulisic’s team go all the way into the final, Chelsea will have had to allow the American speedster the chance to take a longer break and join up with the squad later.
However, it seems that Pulisic is determined to impress his new Chelsea teammates and whoever the new Chelsea boss will be, by deciding to cut short his summer break and join the Blues in the far east in the pre-season camp immediately after the Gold Cup!
Way to go lad, that’s the desire we need at Chelsea.
