The appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea’s new manager is imminent, and the Argentine is anticipated to make multiple signings

Recent sources claim that despite spending more than £600 million over the last two transfer windows, US billionaire owner Todd Boehly will be required to sign a new midfielder, striker and custodian.

There is already chatter about which players, notably goalkeepers, Pochettino is pursuing ahead of what is expected to be another exciting summer transfer season, even though the Blues must also shed a number of members of their present squad due to sheer numbers. Kepa and Edouard Mendy are both eligible for Chelsea, but neither is anticipated to keep the team’s starting jersey in the upcoming season.

Journalist Ben Jacobs, in a conversation with GiveMeSport, confirmed that Brentford’s top goalie is one of the shot-stoppers the team is considering.

Raya is expected to leave Brentford at the end of the current campaign, despite having a significant role for Thomas Frank. The Bees are rumoured to want £40 million in exchange for the Spaniard after failing to reach a new contract agreement.

In preparation for losing their starting custodian, Frank is reportedly close to signing Mark Flekken from SC Freiburg. This information comes from Fabrizio Romano.
