They were rivals for a long time and never teammates.
Pedro played many a tough match against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea long back before the Spaniard joined the Stamford Bridge outfit. However, the summer before that Chelsea had let go of Lampard and so the European duo never got to work together.
However, that has been settled now as Frank Lampard has returned to Chelsea as boss with Pedro still in his playing days. The Spanish winger has been really impressed with Lampard’s teaching and coaching so far.
“We’ve been training really hard with Frank this week,” the Spaniard said.
“It’s very hard work, high intensity. We’re pressing a lot without the ball, when we’ve got the ball we have to move it quickly, and in transition (we have to be) very good.
“It’s very good to work under Frank. He’s a legend at this club.
“He’s a very good coach with very good ideas but it’s only five days working with him and for the future we have to prepare very well this month.”
This is Pedro’s fifth boss at Chelsea already and everyone seems to be eager to play him, should say something about the quality of the player.
