Paul Robinson has delivered a brutal verdict on Alejandro Garnacho, claiming the winger lacks the quality to hold down a regular starting spot at Chelsea.

The former Premier League goalkeeper delivered his scathing assessment after watching Garnacho struggle against his old club Manchester United on Saturday.
Chelsea lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, with Matheus Cunha scoring the only goal shortly before half-time.
Garnacho entered the match earlier than expected after replacing the injured Estevao, who limped off with a hamstring problem in the first half.
The 21-year-old joined Chelsea last summer in a £40 million move from Manchester United, but he has managed just one Premier League goal for his new club this season.
Facing his former teammate Diogo Dalot, Garnacho failed to make any meaningful impact.
He repeatedly ran into dead ends and offered little attacking threat as Chelsea struggled to break down a well-organised United defence.
Robinson did not hold back when analysing Garnacho’s performance on Stadium Astro.
“That he’s not good enough to be a regular starter for Chelsea and Manchester United may have done some good business,” Robinson said when asked what the performance showed.
“He gets the ball and immediately his head’s down and he’s gone. He’s very, very one-dimensional in the way that he attacks.
Yes, he’s an attacking threat, but he’s quite easy to defend against.”
Robinson added that full-backs would actually enjoy facing the Argentine because of his predictability. He criticised Garnacho for failing to adapt his approach during the match.
“He kept doing the same thing tonight and he didn’t change it. It was either a blind run at his full-back, which was so predictable, or he turns, rotates, and keeps possession into the middle of the field.”
The defeat leaves Chelsea searching for answers, with Garnacho’s £40 million price tag now attracting serious scrutiny.
