Since joining Chelsea in a £115 million transfer from Brighton in the summer of 2023, the 24-year-old has participated in 114 games for the team. The Ecuadorian international is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2031, but there is no indication that Chelsea is willing to transfer him.

He is usually thought of as a devastating defensive presence, but this season he has increased his productivity in the final third, finishing 81.7% of his passes in the offensive third.

You’re talking about 200 million or such. I’m not sure about that market unless you’re a forward who scores 30 or 40 goals a season. Even though Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez were both purchased for more than $100 million, I must admit that many of us were taken aback by the sum of money invested in that role. However, I’m not sure how to move beyond that.
