Olivier Giroud Wants January Move To Italy

Olivier Giroud has been completely outcasted by Frank Lampard and the Chelsea forward wants to leave in January.

Italian news sources claim the Frenchman has grown frustrated and has told the club about his intentions.

Giroud was a popular option for Lampard early on in the season as Tammy Abraham’s backu. The 33-year-old was already unhappy with that role and now, to be completely dropped in the pecking order has infuriated him.

He has done well to keep his emotions under the tarps and hit out at Chelsea publicly. Lampard also might be open to letting Giroud walk. Michy Batshuayi has been decent as a backup striker and could really see of the rest of the season.

Nicolo Schira of Di Marzio claims that Giroud’s prefered destination is Inter Milan. It was Antonio Conte who originally got him to Chelsea and the Frenchman would like a reunion.

The questionable point of this report is Inter Milan are pretty stocked up themselves. They have two starting forwards in Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, who are guaranteed starters and in top form. Giroud will be sure to have a hard time breaking into the starting lineup.
