Chelsea forward, Olivier Giroud is wanted at Italy.
His time at Stamford Bridge slowly moving closer towards an end.
Giroud arrived in January 2018 from Arsenal. Antonio Conte signed him and later, the Frenchman helped Chelsea win the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri. Giroud racked up 11 goals in 31 appearances this term, mostly coming on as a substitute to help Chelsea in the later stages.
His agent revealed where the 34-year-old might end up next season. He said, “In January there was the possibility of bringing Giroud to Serie A. We had spoken to Juventus and Roma, when Edin Dzeko was seemingly going to Inter. Now his agent is evaluating various different offers.
“There are three from English clubs, but also some interesting situations in Spain and Germany. At the end of the January window, we met with Milan. The Rossoneri confirmed their interest in Giroud, but also told us they were evaluating younger profiles for their attack. That’s the last we heard from them, we’ll see for the future.”
Thomas Tuchel is happy to move on from Giroud and sign a younger replacement instead. Even Tammy Abraham has failed to meet the manager’s standards and is in serious danger of getting the boot.
