AS Monaco sign Malang Sarr on loan with option to buy.
The French defender joined Chelsea on a free transfer two years ago from Ligue 1 club Nice.
He struggled to nail a starting place at Chelsea and made around 21 appearances last season as a backup.
The deal with Monaco reportedly contains a €12m buy-option as well if the French club decides to sign him next summer.
Chelsea are in the hunt for a centre-back this summer but are trimming the squad and unloading the surplus players to make room for new signings.

“I am very happy to join Monaco and to be back in Ligue 1, a league in which I started and which I know well,” Sarr said.
