Burnley have completed the season-long loan signing of exciting Kazakhstan international Dastan Satpayev from Chelsea, the club confirmed today.

The 18-year-old forward arrives at Turf Moor just two days after officially putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.

Satpayev’s move to Chelsea had been pre-agreed back in January 2025, but FIFA regulations prevented the transfer from being finalised until his 18th birthday.
Upon reaching that milestone earlier this week, the young striker signed a seven-year deal with the Blues that keeps him at the club through to 2033.
The Premier League giants have now opted to send the teenager to the Championship to gain valuable first-team experience under new Burnley head coach Nicky Hayen.
Despite his tender age, Satpayev already boasts an impressive 63 senior appearances for former club FC Kairat, netting 27 goals during his time in his native Kazakhstan.
He also has nine senior caps for the Kazakhstan national team, making him the youngest ever player to represent his country.
The forward gained invaluable European experience with Kairat, featuring in the Champions League against giants such as Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
He also scored his first goal in the competition against FC Copenhagen last November.
Satpayev spent pre-season with Chelsea’s squad under Xabi Alonso and impressed during his limited minutes on the pitch.

Satpayev told Burnley’s official website. “It’s my first time playing in England and I’m ready now to take on the next chapter and have a successful time with Burnley”.
The Clarets will be hoping the young Kazakh can play a key role in their push for promotion back to the Premier League following their relegation last season.
