The news all day around Stamford Bridge has been hot and boiling.

Chelsea were reportedly in serious transfer talks with Ajax. And now the player has been revealed on the club’s official website. Chelsea have completed their first summer signing, pretty early.

The Blues have announced the transfer of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax. The Stamford Bridge outfit are reportedly paying a sum of €40m (£33.6m) plus add-ons to Ajax depending on the performance of the winger and Chelsea in the coming seasons.

Ziyech is one of Ajax and Eridivise’s top talents and has been the best creator in Holland over the last 3 seasons. He is also a good goal scorer and ranks pretty high in the scoring list for a wide winger.

The left footed 26 year old is bringing his talents to the Bridge in the summer. It is quite a brilliant bit of business from Chelsea for signing the player so early.

Lampard’s team has a few ageing wingers in Willian and Pedro and the coup for Ziyech can prove to be a big boost for the South West London outfit.

Ziyech is still to agree personal terms with Chelsea. However, one can expect the Blues to be able to match Ziyech’s demand after saving up over €240 million in their transfer kitty this season – the highest in Europe – thanks to a transfer ban!
