According to reports, Nicolas Jackson will have chances to depart Chelsea during the summer transfer window. With 81 appearances across all competitions in his first two seasons at Stamford Bridge, the 24-year-old has provided 30 goals and 12 assists.

The Senegal international’s stock has fallen in recent months, despite the fact that none of those numbers are aided by set pieces. He may have already been demoted to third choice as a result of his well-earned red cards against Newcastle United and Flamengo, as well as the addition of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

In addition, Enzo Maresca has already made it known that he does not see Jackson as a flexible attacker like Mauricio Pochettino did, but more as a number nine. Jackson has opportunities to take on a new challenge overseas in the upcoming weeks, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano.

Romano clarifies that AC Milan is keeping an eye on things and would be ready to approach Chelsea if their undetermined valuation drops.

Nicolas Jackson lined up for Chelsea transfer exit

Numerous clubs in Saudi Arabia and throughout Europe are rumored to have expressed interest in Jackson. Romano further asserts that the 24-year-old is a target for AC Milan, one of the biggest teams in Italy.

Compared to his first season with the Blues, Jackson’s 2024–2025 season performance was weaker. In 37 games in all competitions, he scored 13 goals and provided six assists, including one in the Conference League final.

In his first season with the West Londoners, he performed far better, making 44 appearances and dishing out 17 goals and six assists. Jackson may leave in the summer because of his recent red mist and inconsistent play in front of the goal.

However, Football Insider claims that Maresca intends to use both his and Delap’s services in the upcoming campaign. Jackson will return to action on Sunday when he and his Blues teammates play Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
