Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has urged his teammates to break their shackles in a bid to provide more ammunition to Eden Hazard.
Hazard has undoubtedly been the best player on the pitch for Chelsea so far this season but the forward has seen his stock going up and down in the last couple of matches.
On the back of two consecutive wins, the Blues were expected to deal with Southampton quite easily. But on the contrary, they lacked intent and composure as the Blues huffed and puffed against the relegation strugglers.
Hazard couldn’t do much as he saw his shot smartly saved by debutant Angus Gunn. There have been concerns over the imminent future of the Belgian but Kante feels players need to ramp up the pressure to support Hazard.
“We all know Eden is a fantastic player, he’s helped us a lot during this season and the seasons before.
“He can make the difference at any time, but we need to count on everyone. We created chances that we missed. It’s a difficult moment but we need to bounce back.”
