Neymar has praised Chelsea‘s rising star Estevao Willian after the 17-year-old shattered his long-standing record in Brazil’s top-flight league.
Neymar Applauds Chelsea’s Wonderkid Estevao Willian for Breaking His Record

Estevao, currently playing for Palmeiras, set a new milestone with 18 goal contributions in the Brazilian Serie A this season, breaking the record Neymar held since 2009.
Neymar, who previously set the record with 16 goal contributions during his time at Santos, took to Instagram to congratulate his fellow Brazilian.
“Congratulations for breaking the record,” Neymar wrote.
“May you continue to shine and enchant everyone with your football. Fly high.”
Estevao’s achievement adds to the growing excitement surrounding the young forward, who will join Chelsea officially in July 2025, following his 18th birthday.
The London club signed the wonderkid earlier this year in a deal worth an initial €34 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total closer to €57 million.
Beyond Neymar’s recognition, Estevao has also caught the attention of Chelsea teammates.
English star Cole Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City this summer, reached out to the teenager after his transfer was announced.
Estevao shared that Palmer called him a “star,” and the pair exchanged messages expressing mutual admiration.
“We’re going to do great things together for Chelsea,” Estevao added.
With his first Brazil senior caps already in hand and a burgeoning career ahead of him, Estevao is poised to become a key player for both club and country.
Neymar’s endorsement only adds to the anticipation surrounding his future.
As one Brazilian legend passes the torch to a new generation, Chelsea fans have every reason to be excited for what’s to come.
