Marc Guiu, an attacker for Chelsea, has been connected to leaving the team at the end of the current campaign. Sports Boom reports that Coventry City, a recently promoted team, is interested in signing the gifted Young attacker; however, it is unclear if they will be able to complete the transaction.
An offer of between €20 and €25 million would be sufficient to complete the transaction. Spanish clubs are keeping an eye on his circumstances and may consider signing him on loan with a buyout option. Chelsea would likely want to sell him permanently.
Coventry City is poised to close the deal if they can make a reasonable offer. Moving away from the club would be excellent for the gifted young striker, who needs to play frequently. He will continue to get better with regular Premier League action with Coventry City. This season, the 20-year-old forward has two assists and three goals.
Coventry City board excited leading race to sign Chelsea star
SportsBoom reports that Coventry is in the lead in the competition for the 20-year-old Spanish attacker, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea continues to reduce their bloated roster.
Chelsea signed the teenager to a five-year contract after seeing enough promise to act swiftly. However, there haven’t been many opportunities on the first team. Guiu’s loan at Sunderland ended when Chelsea brought him back when Liam Delap was hurt. This season, he has only played 266 Premier League minutes, with one assist and no goals.
Chelsea is now prepared to release him. According to SportsBoom, the club has indicated through agents that they are open to loan agreements that would allow them to keep a portion of any potential worth, but they would also take offers in the £17–21 million area for a permanent sale.
The need to create cash flow and down the salary cost this summer is crucial, and BlueCo has spent almost £2 billion on transfers since taking control.
