Mykhailo Mudryk backed to come good at Chelsea

For the first time in months, Mykhailo Mudryk has made an appearance. The banned Chelsea player is working on a project unrelated to football and has a new appearance. The 24-year-old, who signed an £88 million contract with the Blues in January 2023, hasn’t played since a Europa Conference League game on November 28 of last year.

It is acknowledged that a presumed negative analytical result has prevented Mudryk from being selected. Daily Mail Sport believes reports in Ukraine that the material is meldonium are accurate. Since rejecting any misconduct in an official statement, he has kept a low profile and occasionally posted cryptic comments on social media.

Additionally, the Blues winger reappeared on social media on Tuesday while still sporting his Chelsea tracksuit bottoms, revealing that he is now working on a film project in his home country of Ukraine. Serhiy Palkin posted a picture of Mudryk with other filmmakers and Croatian football manager Igor Jovicevic on social media. According to reports, Mudryk is working on a movie on the conflict in Ukraine and Shakhtar Donetsk.

WADA president Witold Banka provided update on Mudryk’s case

Mudryk had a buzz cut when he last played for Chelsea, but he has since adopted a more restrained hairdo with a classic short back and sides. The winger is currently awaiting the outcome of a “B” sample, which will verify the results of his first test match.

Punishments for a positive drug test might result in a long-term ban if proven to have committed an infraction. This was the case with Paul Pogba, a former Manchester United player who was first suspended from football for four years until an appeal reduced it to eighteen months. Witold Banka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), gave an update on the organisation’s position on Mudryk’s case on Monday.

Initially, we are awaiting a disciplinary ruling in his case (from the Football Association of England). We have no idea when it will arrive as of yet. After requesting the player’s documents in accordance with the anti-doping policy, we shall determine whether or not to accept this disciplinary decision. According to Banka, “we can appeal in two cases: if we consider the decision to be too harsh or too lenient.” When Mudryk’s case will be resolved is presently unclear.
