Michael Owen has praised Frank Lampard and his management work at Chelsea.
Michael Owen has complimented Frank Lampard and his coaching staff’s work at Chelsea in this short space of time.
Lampard took over earlier this summer and due to a transfer ban had to look towards the youth to build a team. He has done so brilliantly well and although Chelsea lost their opening few matches here and there, Frank’s men are doing brilliantly now.
“Newcastle were outstanding against a poor Manchester United side at St James’ Park in their last game and thoroughly deserved the points,” Owen said.
“Although I think they will do well to keep this exciting young Chelsea side at arm’s length at Stamford Bridge,’ he said.
“Chelsea have won their last four games in all competitions and look full of goals at present.
“Frank Lampard’s side have come a long way in a short space of time since their heavy opening-weekend defeat at Old Trafford.”
Chelsea have the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori who were all out on loan last season and are doing brilliantly for the first team this time around.
