Mason Mount had to face the complete battering from England fans after his debut for the national team on Friday.
The Three Lions fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Czech Republic to ruin there perfect record in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Gareth Southgate handed Mount his first start for the senior side after his impressive performances for Chelsea at club level. After the Gerrard-Lampard era, England has really been lacking talent in the midfield and Mount was being viewed as the resurgence of the creative factor.
However, his first appearance for the Three Lions was not as rewarding as he would have hoped and the fans let him hear. Before you roll down the Twitter feed, you should remember Mount is still only 20 years old and he is being judged off of 1 bad game. One!

I really hope that the coach dosen’t allow these clowns to.influence his team selection. So the kid had a less than stellar debut and this is how he’s treated? Small wonder why the English national team haven’t won anything in such a long time. Give the kid a break and support your team. I really think that England is close to breaking the drought once they stick with what they have been doing recently.
Sorry but the comments are spot on, he’s nowhere near ready for international football, put him back in the under 21’s and give Maddison a chance as he’s a far far better player all round.
Not a good result but we will get there .ALot of player just not at the races what is going wrong should have been ready for the new season had nice breaks .but you look at them now 6 games into the season some players hard job to walk never mind running out .
The whole team were poor – Mount had no support in a disjointed performance.Henderson is not a England player – too wasteful . Mount is real class

Mount is just an ordinary player. Watching him play for Chelsea this season, I’ve not seen any spectacular thing in his game. Just being considered for every match because he’s English.
He was poor, Rice and Henderson were also very poor (Not for the first time might I add). A selection of keyboard warrior comments in Twitter do not conflate to Mount being “torn apart by England fans”. The internet, especially Twitter is not known for its level headed and tactful opinions.
England were shocking, and that includes Mount. Let’s smash Bulgaria (hopefully) and pray that Southgate has learned a valuable lesson.
He is not ready for Chelsea also, but Lampard is pushing his family friend…Its not fair to other players who are better than Mount.
