Mason Mount has rejected a contract renewal offer from Chelsea

Mason Mount, a midfielder for Chelsea, has allegedly been given a wage offer of £170,000 per week to convince him to sign a new contract with the team despite interest from Premier League rivals

According to The Daily Mail, the teenage star is being courted by Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle.

The newspaper asserts that Mason Mount has declined the Blues’ latest offer, though. The player will probably be sold in the summer if he and the club are unable to come to an arrangement. According to football analyst Stan Collymore, talks between Chelsea and Liverpool about signing the midfielder during the summer transfer season have already started.

The young star has been encouraged to join Liverpool by a number of pundits, with Dean Saunders arguing that his adaptability and football IQ would be ideal for Jurgen Klopp’s squad. Saunders has added that Mount’s ability to play both in the front three and in the midfield would be a huge asset to the squad. Newcastle and Manchester United are reportedly also interested in Mount.

In the summer, Newcastle, who have performed well in the Premier League this season, plan to add more elite players, and Eddie Howe will undoubtedly be seeking to strengthen his team.

Since joining Chelsea at age six, Mount has made 192 outings for the Blues, contributing 37 assists and 33 goals. Additionally, he has 36 starts and 5 goals for the England national team. The 24-year-decision old’s to stay at Chelsea or transfer to another Premier League team in the summer is still up in the air.
