Malo Gusto’s transfer to Chelsea was confirmed in January, but according to the terms of the deal with Lyon, he would return for the remainder of the season on loan to Lyon

Gusto joined Chelsea on loan this January since instead of waiting until the summer, when more clubs would undoubtedly join the race to sign Gusto, Chelsea believed it would be worthwhile to act now.

Since joining Chelsea, Malo has put forth spectacular performances, and Lyon has gone undefeated in their previous two matches.

The future Chelsea right defender Gusto began nine of his thirteen duels in the 0-0 draw with Stade Brest, winning four fouls, winning all three of his attempted dribbles, and maintaining a clean sheet.

The most recent game, a 3-1 victory over Troyes, saw Gusto start and once again dazzle with 100% dribble completion, three out of five duels won, two tackles, and only being dribbled past once.

The 19-year-trajectory old’s is just rising, and Chelsea appears to have a real talent on their hands. Opposing left wingers will find him or Reece James intimidating to face next season.
