Romelu Lukaku admits he's 'not happy with the situation' at Chelsea

Lukaku has netted seven goals in 18 games in all competitions this season.

Chelsea number 9 Romleu Lukaku admits he is not happy with the situation at Chelsea. He also admitted he would like to return to Inter Milan.

During an interview, the Belgium international admitted he’s not happy with Thomas Tuchel’s system at Chelsea. His statement came on the evening of the January transfer window.

Lukaku was signed by Chelsea this summer and he become the club’s biggest signing. He won the Serie A title last season with Milan, scoring 30 goals and the Blues paid £97.5m to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku said in an interview, “After two years in Italy, in which I worked a lot at Inter with trainers and nutritionists, I am physically fine. But I’m not happy with the situation [at Chelsea], I think this is normal.”

“I think the coach (Tuchel) has chosen to play with another system – I just won’t give up, I’ll continue and be professional.

“I am not happy with the situation but I am a professional and I must not give up.”

The Belgian has netted seven goals in 18 games in all competitions this season. His last two goals came in Chelsea’s last two ties after recovering from injury. He has only started eight Premier League games this season due to injury and Covid-19.
