Loftus-Cheek Fires Hudson-Odoi Warning At Sarri

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has fired a warning towards manager Maurizio Sarri regarding teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has been one of the hottest properties for the west London club this season. The English winger has been closely linked with a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich as the Blues look to make him stay put at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian manager has denied Hudson-Odoi a starting spot in the side despite his good form, which seems not to have played well between the two. However, now he has got the support of his compatriot Loftus-Cheek, who has insisted that Hudson-Odoi should be given more opportunities to be included in the starting lineup after Sarri said that the player is not at the top of his form and needs more time to improve.

Loftus-Cheek said, “If he’s good enough, he’s good enough. I think the manager knows him well. He sees him in training every day and he will make the decision.”

He added, “But Callum is doing well at the minute and that’s all you can do. I think he is doing so well now; he just wants to play. He is young, fresh, has that momentum. He is scoring so when he doesn’t start and feels he should, it’s part of the game. I’ve told him: ‘You’re at a big club, you’re young, just keep your head focused and keep doing what you’re doing’ — like he did against Dynamo. He came on and did well.”
