Leicester reject €75m bid from Chelsea for Wesley Fofana

Leicester City have no desire to sell Wesley Fofana.

According to the report a french outlet L’Équipe, Chelsea have had an opening €75m proposal rejected by Leicester City for central defender Wesley Fofana.

The Frenchman was the subject of a formal proposal on Wednesday which was immediately rejected by The Foxes, who don’t even have the intention of trying to see Chelsea increase their bid.

Officially, Leicester have no desire to sell the 21-year-old defender who they view to be totally indispensable heading into the 2022/23 campaign.

Fofana is Thomas Tuchel’s priority central defensive signing following the arrival of Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and the departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger.

Fofana wants to see the move to Chelsea happen, as he sees this as an opportunity to compete in the Champions League. The French outlet affirms that the Blues are unlikely to give up here, whilst Manchester City and PSG continue to survey the player’s situation.
