Frank Lampard was a daring man to take over at Chelsea.
Back in the summer, the Blues were in a pickle. They were slapped with a transfer ban. They did not have their star players as Eden Hazard had just left the club.
Moreover, to make things worse their boss Maurizio Sarri had left the sinking ship in the middle of a dilemma. He had done so after spending a little over 150 million odd.
However, for Chelsea it was a blessing in disguise as Frank Lampard, the club legend was put in charge of a club which no one wanted.
He took charge and brought players out of thin air; okay not really he got back the youngsters from loan and made a team out of nothing.
Now the new year has changed and Chelsea are flying high. The youngsters have delivered. The transfer ban has been lifted and most importantly, Lampard’s men have instilled a style of football that is entertaining the Bridge.
Now for New Year’s, the coach has delivered a message for all Chelsea fans.

The transfer ban has helped the team to build for the future. There is no need for us to sign expensive players while we have so many young talent such as mount, odd, pulisic, James etc. The only weak department is our defence where we clearly exposed because we have no leader #upchelseaup
