The Englishman is planning to raid his old Chelsea staff at Everton.
According to Sky Sports, the ex-Chelsea boss has been formally offered the managerial position at Goodison Park, after impressing Everton in a second interview.
Lampard went ahead of former Porto manager Vitos Pereira and Derby County manager Wayne Rooney. He is going to replace the sacked Rafael Benitez and might be seen in Everton’s FA Cup tie next month.
A report from the Athletic claims that the 43-year-old wants to add Anthony Barry from his backroom staff. He coaxed Barry into his backroom team at the very beginning of his second year in charge of Chelsea.
