Frank Lampard has said that he does not want direct contact with Roman Abramovich!

Frank Lampard has done a really good job in his first year as Chelsea boss. His team qualified for the Champions League next season and have now reached the final of the FA Cup.

It is a pretty good job given that Chelsea lost Hazard last season and was slapped with a transfer ban.

So everyone has asked him now if he is expecting a happy call from Roman should he win the FA Cup!

Blues boss Lampard said: “I don’t need a phone call, or a message, or recognition like that because I feel the support from the owner.

“I have felt it from him from the moment I took the job.

“I felt it for many years as a player. I am happy if I can make him happy.

“Last Sunday was a step forward in where we are right now (by finishing in the top four) and I want to continue making those steps.

“I grew up watching FA Cup finals and winning goals and I remember them all very well.

“I can’t recount them all now, but if you gave me five minutes I could sit down and pretty much list them all through the 90s.”
