Chelsea scraped to a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace last night to leapfrog Leicester and enter 3rd place in the Premier League table.

And it was the goal from Tammy Abraham, minutes after coming on that ultimately saw Chelsea leave Selhurst Park with 3 points.

The Blues broke the deadlock with a Willian assist on an Olivier Giroud goal. Then it was the turn for a blinder from Christian Pulisic. However, Palace clawed back into the game thanks to a mediocre piece of keeping from Kepa and a brilliant effort from Zaha.

It was Abraham after that who scored the 3rd goal and Chelsea ultimately won the match 3-2.

“It will be really important for Tammy because he is desperate for goals,” Lampard told the media.

“He hadn’t scored for a while. It helps his confidence and it is good for me. It gives me other options.

“He came on late in the game, he scores the winning goal and I’m pleased for my strikers.”‘

“We should have had the game done at 2-0,” he continued. “We should have controlled the game better and then at 3-2 we had good chances to finish off.

“With some slight wrong decisions may be in the final third or final shot, and then it invites pressure.

“Kepa makes a great save, Kurt makes a great tackle. But in those last moments, it was nervous for us.”
