Frank Lampard has made it clear that the injury sustained by N’Golo Kante is not serious.

Kante cut short his trip in Japan and was sent back to Cobham, London where it is believed he is undergoing recovery from whatever injury he is suffering. However, Chelsea boss Lampard seemed little concerned about the seriousness of the injury.

“Yeah, he is okay,” Lampard said about Kante’s condition. “It was a decision that I made because I felt that him being here, with the facilities and the moving, travel etc. that we have been doing, it probably wasn’t the most beneficial for him.

“He went back, has had a few days at Cobham, working well, progressing, so hopefully by the time that we get back at the end of the week I will sit down with the doctor to hpoefully know that he will be back with us very soon.”

Chelsea have done their preseason rather well given the conditions around the club and now they will be looking forward to the beginning of the new season where they will be taking on Manchester United and Liverpool in the first two matches of the new season; one in the Premier League and other to play the UEFA Super Cup final.
