Kurt Zouma’s drawn out transfer saga is starting to frustrate fans.
West Ham United was long reported to have held an interest in him and was tipped to scoop him up by now.
But as the final week of the summer transfer window approaches, a deal is yet to be finalized. Some sources are claiming that the deal is close to being sealed, some are claiming that it’s been cancelled while some claim for to be in-between.

Chelsea are looking to reinvest Zouma’s transfer fees into signing Joules Kounde. Talks are currently ongoing with Sevilla over a proposed deal. Thomas Tuchel also wants to bring in Saul Niguez from the La Liga. Atletico Madrid are yet to be approached with a deal.
It looks like Romelu Lukaku will most likely won’t be the only signing of the summer transfer window. The Blues are working to build their Champions League winning squad to be better suited to Tuchel. The German boss demands more versatility and energy from his players.
Kounde shone for Sevilla last term and also for France in the 2021 Euros. He could be a fitting star in Chelsea’s three-man backline.
