Kante happy with Sarri at Chelsea

The N’Golo Kante vs Jorginho battle carries on amongst fans and pundits in Chelsea as everyone feels injustice has been done by removing the world’s current best defensive midfielder from his natural position.

Sarri tried his best to explain last week the rationale for doing so. Sarri said: “In that position, I want to play a player who is able to move the ball very fast. This is not the best characteristic of N’Golo. N’Golo is useful for us but this isn’t his best characteristic.”

Kante has now shown his backing of the manager. “It is something possible [to play Jorginho’s role], but the manager decides,” Kante said. “It’s fine, it’s fine. I like this [more advanced] position. Prefer it? It depends on the game, but I enjoy it.”

“I’m with the manager, and I’m enjoying the way I’m playing now. It is a position I used to play when I was in France. I’m enjoying participating more in the offensive positions to change the game. I am enjoying it.”

He added: “Jorginho came this season. He is doing very well. He knows very well the philosophy of the manager. He is very important for us at the club.”

Good man. N’Golo!
