Reece James also spoke to the media and took some responsibility while defending Graham Potter.

Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly came out in the support of his manager Graham Potter who is facing criticism due to the poor form of the club. Koulibaly also labeled him a “great manager”.

While speaking to the Sun (h/t Metro), Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly has jumped up in defense of his boss Graham Potter and pointed out why he is a great manager.

Potter’s side has won just one game in the first two months of 2023 and he might be sacked if he doesn’t produce a positive result this month.

The Blues have won only two of their last 15 league games and take 10th in the table with very little chance of even finishing in the Europa League places.

There is some update that the next two games (against Leeds United and Borussia Dortmund) are in must-win territory for Potter if he has to save his job.

However, here’s what Koulibaly said when asked about Potter and what makes him great (h/t Metro):

“Graham Potter is very good at communicating with everyone. And he doesn’t care if you cost £100million or £20m, he will treat you in the same way. That’s the mark of a great manager.”

After losing to Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday, Reece James spoke to the media and took some responsibility while defending the manager.
