Kai Havertz went seven games without a goal.

The German playmaker has now scored in back-to-back games against Borussia Dortmund and Leicester.

He ended his goal drought in midweek and got on the scoresheet on Saturday once again.

Havertz has played as a number nine in both of his games but he actually deployed himself in a much deeper role.

After three straight wins, Chelsea remains 10th in the Premier League table.

He has scored six goals and registered one assist in 25 Premier League matches this season.

Former England midfielder Owen Hargreaves is impressed with Havertz’s recent upturn in form.

“They’ve turned it around a little bit. Goalscoring has been a big issue for them,” the former England international told Premier League Productions.

“Three goals [against Leicester]… Kai Havertz was the best player again [on Saturday] and he was [also] the best player in midweek against Borussia Dortmund.

“I know he [Graham Potter] doesn’t have a centre-forward but Havertz has done a pretty good job of filling in.”
