Juventus Turn Down Chelsea's Alvaro Morata Swap Deal For Gonzalo Higuain

Chelsea have had a swap offer rejected by Juventus for Gonzalo Higuain if reports are to be believed. The Blues are ready to offload Alvaro Morata to Italy but the Italian champions have denied their efforts.

Maurizio Sarri is in desperate need of a striker and has targeted his former disciple to boost Chelsea’s chances in the Premier League. Both Morata and Olivier Giroud are going through a goal crisis currently and Sarri wants to resolve the situation by bringing a new frontman at the Stamford Bridge.

But the Chelsea hierarchy is not entirely convinced about Higuain as the 31 year old has had an underwhelming season so far. The Blues do have a different approach when it comes to dealing with a player above 30 and in this situation, it could be a hindrance in the deal.

Sarri is adamant to reunite with the Argentine under whose guidance the forward had two great seasons at Napoli. The former Real Madrid striker was signed by AC Milan on loan for a reported fee of € 18 this term and further €36m needs to be paid if the Rossoneri want to make the switch permanent.
