Juventus to offer Chelsea €60 million for Alvaro Morata

Morata has been heavily linked with a summer exit

Chelsea signed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for a record transfer fee of £60 million last summer, to fill the sizable boots of Diego Costa who left them to join his former club Atletico Madrid.

Despite a blistering start to his Chelsea career with eight goals in his first seven games, the 25 year old has endured a frustrating time at Stamford Bridge over the course of the season. He has struggled to score on a consistent basis and his back injury forced him to the sidelines.

The Spain International’s poor form has led him to be be linked with a summer exit and according to reports both his former clubs Real Madrid and Juventus have shown interest to bring him back.

Juventus are ready to offer Chelsea €60 million for striker Alvaro Morata, reports Tuttosport.

Morata enjoyed a successful period with the Serie A giants from 2014-2016 before moving back to Real Madrid, who activated his buy back clause. He scored 27 goals in 93 appearances and reached the Champions League final with them, where they lost 3-1 to Barcelona.

Juventus are now ready to take the Spaniard on loan for next season, willing to pay €15 million. They are then proposing to pay a further €45 million next summer – if both parties want to make the move permanent.
