According to reports, Juventus are on the brink of announcing the appointment of Maurizio Sarri in the upcoming 48 hours. Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has left the club and the Bianconeri are looking to replace him. Sarri is reportedly the favorite to replace Allegri at Juventus.
Sarri started his managerial career at Italy in 1990. After managing bottom tier clubs, he became the manager of Empoli in 2012 and left the club in 2015 to manage Napoli.
In the three seasons during which he managed Napoli, the Gli Azzurri never ended below the top three.
He joined Chelsea last summer and in his first season, guided the club to the Europa League and a third-place finish in the Premier League, two places better than their finish last season.
Due to his impressive stint at Napoli, Juventus feel Sarri could be an ideal replacement for Allegri. Hence, they are eager to hire him. Sarri has told Chelsea he wants to return to Italy due to family reasons.
Sarri has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus and the club will announce the 60-year old’s announcement in the coming two days.
