Signed for £35 million from AS Monaco in January 2023, the 22-year-old French international arrived at Stamford Bridge with high expectations. However, Badiashile has struggled to cement his place in the starting lineup.

Under the management of Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, who took charge in July, Badiashile has managed just one Premier League appearance this season, with the center-back duo of Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana preferred in defense.

Juventus, on the other hand, are navigating a defensive crisis after losing both Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal to long-term injuries.

The Turin club, currently flying high under manager Thiago Motta, are just two points behind Serie A leaders Napoli after an unbeaten run in their first 12 league matches.

Strengthening their backline has become a priority, and Badiashile has emerged as a potential solution.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Juventus are open to either a loan or a permanent deal for the Chelsea defender.

While the player remains on a lengthy seven-and-a-half-year contract with the Blues, a move to Italy could provide him with much-needed game time and a fresh start.

Former Chelsea star William Gallas has been vocal about Badiashile’s struggles in the Premier League.

“He’s a quality player, but I don’t think he’s suited for the intensity of the Premier League,” Gallas recently remarked.

“It’s clear he’s not feeling confident when he’s not playing.”

For Badiashile, Juventus’ interest could offer a lifeline to reignite his career. Meanwhile, Chelsea may view the potential departure as an opportunity to streamline their squad as they continue their rebuild under Maresca.

As January approaches, all eyes will be on Stamford Bridge and Turin to see if a deal for Badiashile materializes, potentially marking the next chapter in the Frenchman’s career.
