Jurgen Klopp has spoken highly of Chelsa starlet Billy Gilmour.
The 20-year old midfielder joined Norwich City on a season-long loan and Klopp hailed him as one of the best Scottish players for the last 50 years.
Gilmour made 22 senior appearances for the Blues’ senior team in the last two seasons and has been loaned this season to gain regular first-team football.
He also starred for Scotland against England in Euro 2020 and was phenomenal in that Group D clash.
“I know how good they are and how great a job Daniel Farke is doing,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.
“They gave him, for what is a club like Norwich, incredible trust and a new four-year contract which is absolutely great.
“So they believe in his work and the project and you can see that.
“They lost good players, or one at least that I know about, but they did sensational business.
“Billy Gilmour is probably one of the biggest Scottish talents for the last 50 years.
“Bringing him in on loan and then (Milot) Rashica signing from the Bundesliga.
