Chelsea midfielder Jorginho says tha the misses his former club Napoli and wants to return to the Serie A in the future. Jorginho joined Napoli from Verona in 2014 and played 160 matches for the club across all competitions. He scored 6 goals and provided 14 assists.

During his time at Napoli, Jorginho helped the club win the Coppa Italia and the Supercopa Italiana. He also established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe during that time.

He left Napoli this summer to reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea. The 27-year old has started all matches for Chelsea this season, scoring a goal against Huddersfield Town. HIn a short amount of time, he has become one of Chelsea’s key players.

However, Jorginho has entertained the possibility of returning to the Serie A later in his career.

Speaking ahead of Italy’s Nations League match against Poland, Jorginho said,

“There were various things behind my departure from Napoli. The will of just one party is not enough. Serie A will always be one of the best leagues in the world. I hope to go back one day. There’s a difference in tempo and physicality between English and Italian football. However, you can’t not miss a magnificent place such as Napoli.

To understand the difference with the infrastructure in England you have to experience it. At Cobham, we have 38 pitches. Enough said. Sarri is enjoying his adventure in England but he’s not changing much, he’s sticking to his habits.”

After impressing with Chelsea, Jorginho hopes to put up a strong show for Italy in their UEFA Nations League matches against Poland and Portugal. Italy take on Poland at Bologna before playing Portugal at Lisbon on Monday.
