Jorginho’s agent dismissed all rumours of a Juventus switch amidst uncertainties of Italian football.
There were strong links between the Chelsea midfielder and the Turin-based club earlier this week, largely due to Maurizio Sarri, his former boss.
It is no secret that Jorginho is one of Sarri’s most trusted soldiers out there, having coached him in Napoli and Chelsea. While Juventus have an overwhelming number of quality midfield players, none of them really are an exact replica of Jorginho. That is what sparked this rumour chain but the player’s agent, Joao Santos rubbished all claims.
“Juventus? I read around, but I never had any contact with them,” Santos told CalcioMercato on Tuesday. “To date, I know absolutely nothing about this situation.
“He is very happy in London, where he is showing his worth and where he still has three more years of contract. And in July, there is the possibility of adding a fourth and opening negotiations for a renewal of the contract with Chelsea. Not to know what may be the strategies of Juventus, but these are the plans for our future and I repeat, to date, neither Juventus nor any other team has come forward to Jorge.”
