Former Chelsea forward Tony Cascarino has said that Chelsea’s summer signing Jorginho looks like a five-a-side player.

However, he has expressed his sympathy for the new midfielder as he feels Jorginho faces the blunt of the blame.

“Jorginho has become a bit of a scapegoat,” Cascarino told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. “The atmosphere towards him at Stamford Bridge, the finger is pointed at him and I feel sorry for him because it’s not just him.”

However, Cascarino added that the Italian was bought for a hefty fee and hence the pressure on him is high.

“But he was bought for a lot of money and other clubs wanted him. But I look at him and I just think, ‘wow, you look like a five-a-side player! He’s light, he’s got a great touch and moves it around, but any team that smothers him, gets onto him and press him, Chelsea really do struggle then to get the ball to any position and look like a dangerous side.”

Jorginho was considered to be Sarri’s general in Italy at Napoli and hence the player was bought by Chelsea by beating Manchester City to the pip.
